Established in 2014, WxY Foods Co. is the latest venture of Terra Foods Japan (formerly Universe Foods) and Wing Labo Corp. Japan. The primary objective of WxY Foods is to introduce its proprietary non-oil chip making technology to snacks companies, venture capitalists, and angel investors interested in healthy snack foods.

 

Terra Foods Japan is the sole patent holder of our unique non-oil chip making process, which has produced some of the best-selling potato chips in Japan. Over the past decade, our technology has garnered international attention from companies ranging from Pop Chips to Frito Lay, and B&G.

Located in Oita Prefecture, Kyushu, Japan, Terra Foods (formerly Universe Foods) was founded by Mr. Isao Watanabe in 2000. Mr. Watanabe has a vested interest in producing healthy snacks in a world where the well-being of both adults and children are being compromised by harmful oils, additives, preservatives, and other ingredients - but he also knows that snacks are supposed to be fast, fun and satisfying. The merging of his two ideals inspired the company's non-oil process.
